Aston Martin Unveils 2024 AMR24 at a Launch Event at Silverstone

As the sixth team to reveal their new vehicle or livery, Aston Martin has unveiled the all-new AMR24, kicking off the second wave of F1 2024 car premieres at their plant in what has turned out to be a “trilogy” of revelations.

All eyes were on the 2024 F1 vehicle, which the team hopes to compete for more podiums and maybe victory this season, but Aston Martin also showcased the new Vantage road car and Vantage GT3 with the AMR24 car introduction.

The AMR24 From Aston Martin is an Advancement of a Powerful Design

The Aston Martin AMR23 from the previous year was among the fastest designs on the grid right out of the gate, but when the development cycle began, it lost steam. It wasn’t until the conclusion of the year that Aston Martin managed to return to its initial specifications.

The AMR24 doesn’t significantly alter the philosophy from the design from the previous year because they spent the entire winter trying to figure out what went wrong with their interpretation of the AMR23.

Exhibiting a refined green livery that has been the team’s signature, the AMR24 maintains the same Red Bull-inspired design concept as the previous year, albeit with improved aerodynamics and slightly reduced weight.

Despite the stable standards, the car is mostly completely new, with only a few minor design elements from the previous year’s model.

The head of the team, Mike Krack, stated, “We are proud to debut the AMR24.”

“It is the result of a huge effort by the whole team at our new AMR Technology Campus and it will allow the team to take another step forward in 2024.

“Everyone has been hyper-focused on improvements in every area since the last race in 2023, focusing our efforts on what actually needs to be better and makes a difference.

“Almost every area of the car has been refined and improved, building on our strengths, and taking on board the lessons of the previous campaign.

“2023 was our best season to date and our goal this season is to score regular points, podiums, and fight for our first win in green.”

Dan Fallows, technical director at Aston Martin, described the changes made to the AMR24 from the previous model.

“Even with the stable regulations, there are endless possibilities for refinement,” he said.

“I would call the AMR24 a strong evolution of last year’s car and it does look quite different with many new parts to give us a strong platform for development.

“The chassis design is new, as well as the nose, front wing, front suspension, and rear suspension.

“We want to compete in the development race this season and this car is designed to do just that.

Extending the car’s operational window has been another area of focus. More adaptability for a larger range of particular circuit features has been our main goal. A race car with higher all-around performance is what we desire.
