Brazilian airline Azul Airlines has announced the creation of AzulGPT, a cutting-edge generative AI platform developed in partnership with Avanade and powered by Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service. In keeping with the company’s strict security and privacy policies, the airline emphasized that AzulGPT will increase efficiency and improve data processing and analysis.
AzulGPT is enabling better information exchange and integration throughout the airline’s different staff networks, which is transforming the day-to-day operations of Azul Airlines. Naelly Oliveira, an employee, highlighted how quickly the platform can respond to a variety of questions about events and activities offered by the business.
The work that AzulGPT does includes creating materials, campaigns, and forms in an effective manner. It can cut down on the time required for these jobs by up to three days. Employees like Oliveira may devote more of their attention to strategic planning and creative growth because of this speed.
Being among the first airlines in Brazil to adopt such technology was something that Felipe Starling, the airline’s IT director, was proud of. Citing the positive internal feedback he received—most notably about the speed at which customer feedback and service metrics are processed—he highlighted its connection with the company’s innovation spirit and data protection awareness.
Microsoft Brazil’s Roberto Sória highlighted the use of AI as a “co-pilot” in the workplace, freeing up human time for more strategic endeavors—all inside Azure’s secure environment, which complies with strict regulations. Asserting the need of maintaining global best practices in information security and privacy when implementing AI solutions, Luiz Pirollo from Avanade Brazil echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need to strike a balance between innovation, purpose, and user-centered design for a positive human impact on the business.
