Colorado Rockies gets 8-5 win, Los Angeles Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger has 2-run homer taken away after base running blunder

Cody Bellinger and the Los Angeles Dodgers were on some wrong side of an umpire’s bring in a 8-5 losing exertion on the principal day of the 2021 MLB season.

In the third inning of their game against NL West adversary Colorado Rockies, lefty swinger Bellinger smashed the baseball profound to the opposite field. Rockies left defender Raimel Tapia made a leaping stab with the expectations of making ESPN’s highlight-reel, yet missed as he hit the outfield wall. Bellinger’s shoot wound up in the bleachers for a two-run homer.

Or on the other hand so they thought.

Justin Turner of the Dodgers was on a first base and he thought Tapia came down the ball. Along these lines, he rushed back to first base to ensure that he didn’t get nailed for a twofold play and a second out. While trotting back to the base, Turner coincidentally passed Bellinger on the base ways.

Indeed, that is not permitted. Since Bellinger technically passed the lead runner while running around the bases, the previous National League MVP was called out. His two-run homer just meant one run. Also, rather than being credited for a homer, Bellinger was granted with a one-run single.

Tapia had two RBI for the Rockies in the success. Pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez got the win, regardless of permitting three runs in two innings pitched.

In the misfortune, Dodgers expert Clayton Kershaw allowed five earned runs on 10 hits over 5.2 innings of work. Turner, Bellinger, Corey Seager, and Max Muncy all had one RBI each for Los Angeles.
