1. Tell us what makes your story unique?
I started my career in Miami, Florida. Started working with Young Money after dropping out of university Miami to pursue music. My story is unique because my favorite artist was always Lil Wanye. For his label to be the first to reach out to me It shocked me. I grew a strong relationship with Lil Twist which I still have to this day.
2. What influenced your love for music?
I grew up playing the piano. My great grandmother taught a lot of children in charlotte, North Carolina. I was forced to play piano at an early age and then grew to enjoy it and appreciate it. My father’s love for Jay-Z, B.I.G, and Wayne was influential as well. My mother’s love for Mary J, Alicia Keys, Beyonce. Was influential as well.
3. What would you say are the biggest challenges you face as an upcoming artist?
Being a selfless person, but having to be selfish because of my dreams. What I mean by that is I cannot cheat discipline for if I cheat it now, I will never be able to truly help my people how I want, or give back.
4. What inspired you to get into this industry?
Music has always been therapeutic for me. It makes me happy, and is my passion. I believe you should always follow your passion. Whatever keeps you up at night
5. How important is mindset when starting your career as an artist?
Mindset is everything, you have to be consistent with your work ethic and mental attitude. It is extremely important.
6. What’s your advice for those trying to start doing Music?
Make sure it is something you couldnt live without. For it will have to bring you happiness before it can bring you anything else.
7. What does fear mean to you?
Fear is an illusion it isn’t real, it’s man-made.
8. What does success mean to you?
Success means taking care of yourself, and your family, as well as putting your people in a position to win.
9. What should the fans be expecting soon.
A lot of new music and videos on the way, my own lighters will be dropping this month as well.
10. Biggest obstacle you’ve overcome so far?
Successfully launching my concierge business in North Carolina.
11. How do you differentiate yourself from other upcoming artists ?
I’m about ownership and elevation. I know this takes time to take it to the heights we plan to. We stick to a plan, and not a trend.
12. What are your goals in the industry?
My goal is to be the first person from Charlotte, North Carolina with both a grammy and an oscar.
