What makes you stand out?
Instead of operating in the music industry the same way our competitors do, we chose to take a different approach. This not only set us apart from the competition, but proved that we were forward-thinking enough to take our company and the industry to another level.
What part of your success was the most unexpected?
We didn’t set out to bring Western and Asian music artists together, but it was a wonderful success. In 2016, through our connections to the music industry in the United States, we were able to bring artists from the U.S. and China together during a really tense political time. That opportunity to bring people together gave us a great starting point.
How did that success propel you forward?
We brought three amazing artists together – Jason Derulo, NCT 127 and LAY – to put together a tribute to Michael Jackson. As we distributed this music globally, that success turned the company around.
