Microsoft and Truecaller, a call blocking and caller ID app, have partnered. Truecaller is eager to include Microsoft’s new Personal Voice help and technology since it is impressive. Azure AI voice will be used to facilitate this cooperation. Only Truecaller Premium subscribers will be able to utilize this feature.
2022 saw the company launch the current Truecaller AI assistant. Already capable of collecting messages, screening calls, and even recording calls for later review, this technician can perform a variety of functions. However, only a few nations can access this service. These characteristics, however, are insufficient in a world where artificial intelligence is developing daily. Truecaller therefore made an effort to improve it.
The Personal Speech Function of Truecaller
Truecaller may now provide users with a digital voice copy thanks to a partnership with Microsoft. Here, the protagonist is the improved AI assistance. Callers will now be able to hear a real version of the user’s voice instead of the previous generic voice used for digital assistance.
According to Truecaller, consumers’ experiences and call management would both be improved by this functionality. During the Monday, May 20, Microsoft event, the business also used a video to showcase the capability.
“This groundbreaking capability showcases the power of AI in transforming the way we interact with our digital assistants, as well as adding a touch of familiarity and comfort for users,” wrote Raphael Mimoum, general manager and product director of Truecaller, in a blog post.
Microsoft has put protections in place, even though security issues are still there. Among these security measures are watermarks that are automatically added to AI-generated voices and a code of conduct that forbids impersonation and requires permission from a recorded person.
How is this Functionality Configured?
As of right now, Truecaller has only made this feature available in a few nations, but it will eventually be available in other areas as well. However, at this time, the deployment has started in the following nations: India, USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Sweden, and Chile.
You must update the application to the most recent version in order to enable this feature. Additionally, a Premium subscription is required. Once you’ve completed these two steps, go to the Assistant settings in the app and follow the prompts to record and customize your voice.
