The record producer Luis Bordeaux is best known for co-producing Lil Tjay & 6lack’s “Callin My Phone” with his work partner Non Native. Bordeaux (24) and Non Native (20) are supplying the world with great music artists like the 2020 superstars Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay and the late-Pop Smoke. The duo is responsible for some of the year’s biggest singles in rap like Lil Tjay’s “Zoo York” and Meek Mill & Fivio Foreign’s “Demons & Goblins”.
Born to an immigrant couple, Bordeaux is from Bronx, NY where music has been part of his life since childhood as a tool to make friends. All the communities the world over have Music as a part of their everyday life one way or the other. Music makes humans connect and that is how Bordeaux connected with others while getting influenced from different genres of music.
Bordeaux says that his parents were first generation immigrants so music was definitely a way for him to make friends and learn about different cultures. He got influenced by electronic music the most and the infatuation for the producer group, The Neptunes, is common between him and Non Native.
The duo says they are in sync with others rhythm and style and know exactly what each of them is looking for. They enjoy working and learning from each genre artist. Bordeaux says, “It’s fun to learn what each genre entails and how music production relates to all genres of music.”
Talking about their creative process Non Native says they like to experiment in all areas of music and are present in the studios with the artists while the recording happens. Today their work file boasts of working with different genres of artists from dancehall artists, R&B artists, to Rappers.
