The secret Predator project teased last year has finally been unveiled — and it’s unlike anything fans expected. Titled Predator: Killer of Killers, the new film is a bold, animated anthology that explores the Predator mythos across three dramatic historical settings.
20th Century Studios dropped the trailer along with the official release date: June 6, 2025, exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Josh Wassung and written by Micho Robert Rutare, the story takes viewers through three brutal timelines:
- A Viking raider on a vengeance mission with her son
- A feudal Japanese ninja clashing with his samurai brother
- A WWII pilot uncovering an alien threat in the skies
Each character is a deadly warrior in their own right—but all become prey to a common, terrifying foe: the ultimate killer of killers.
This project follows Trachtenberg’s critical success with Prey (2022), where he redefined the Predator legacy. Rather than creating a direct sequel, Trachtenberg pitched fresh, genre-bending ideas. Killer of Killers is one of two concepts greenlit by the studio.
Meanwhile, fans can also look forward to Predator: Badlands, a live-action feature starring Elle Fanning, arriving in theaters on November 7, 2025. Notably, this movie flips the classic formula — Fanning’s character teams up with the Predator, introducing a never-before-seen dynamic.
With Killer of Killers, the Predator franchise ventures deeper into bold storytelling, blending animation with warrior legends and deadly alien hunters.
