South Florida visual artist and photographer Rey Rey Rodriguez will be showcasing his latest collection of artwork during Art Basel Miami. The event, which is one of the most prestigious art shows in the world, will take place from December 1st – 3rd, 2022. This will be Rodriguez’s third time exhibiting at Art Basel Miami, and he is looking forward to sharing his newest work with the public. The pieces in this collection are a departure from Rodriguez’s usual style and focus on color, abstraction, and pain. He says that this new direction was inspired by his travels to England and Japan. “I’ve seen a lot of different cultures and styles during my travels, and always seem to find pain.”
Rey Rey Rodriguez is an entrepreneur as well as an artist. The “Underground Photography King” has come a long way from his high school drop-out, pro-bono photography days. In 2014, he became the owner of a small photography business, which today, has turned into a multimedia, creative markeing, and branding company that provides services worldwide, named, The Mind of Rey Rey ®.
The master photographer has been photographing for over eighteen years and has traveled extensively capturing art with his lens in all forms. His work has been seen, shared, and displayed throughout the world, and now it returns the place where the artist calls home, South Florida. “It’s always nice to work in Miami, and to visit and be a part of local events, but it’s a great honor to be a part of Art Basel Miami and all of the amazing artists displaying their artwork.”
