Powered by Galaxy AI, the One UI 6.1 update a plethora of new features that improve communication. With Chat Assist, users can now modify the tonality of their messages and translate them into 13 languages. Calls can be translated both verbally and textually in real time with Live Translate, while real-time text translations with Interpreter allow for more casual conversations with locals.
With One UI 6.1, productivity is unmatched thanks to the ecosystem-wide, seamless integration of Galaxy AI. Circle to Search with Google improves search capabilities by producing logical results with just a circle motion. While Browsing Assist creates thorough summaries of news articles to help users stay up to date more quickly, Note Assist enables users to create formats, translate notes, and generate summaries.
Samsung is also doubling down on creativity with Galaxy AI, providing users with tools to unleash their inner artist. Generative Edit allows for easy resizing, repositioning, or realignment of objects in photos, while Edit Suggestion streamlines the photo editing process. Instant Slow-mo generates additional frames for slow-motion videos, capturing action-packed moments effortlessly.
The One UI 6.1 update rollout schedule has been confirmed, with availability beginning at the end of March for the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. Although the US is where the initial rollout will start, users everywhere should anticipate receiving the update in the coming weeks.
