A small passenger airplane crashed in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest Saturday, killing all 14 humans on board, Amazonas nation Governor Wilson Lima announced.
“I deeply be apologetic about the loss of life of the 12 passengers and two crew contributors who have been victims of the aircraft crash in Barcelos on Saturday,” Mr. Lima stated.
The Embraer PT-SOG plane had taken off from Manaus, the Amazonas country capital and the largest town in the Amazon, and was once trying to land in heavy rain when it crashed, neighborhood media reported.
The passengers had been Brazilian vacationers on their way to fish, the reviews said.
Video pictures posted with the aid of the Globo tv community confirmed the airplane mendacity on a muddy dust tune with the the front section of the plane in inexperienced foliage. A couple of dozen humans are viewed standing close by protecting umbrellas.
