The Base Price of the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV Is $35,000

Chevy Equinox 2025 The Chevrolet Equinox EV, despite its recent release, is poised for its second model year. Although there have been some notable changes to the pricing and trim structure, the 2025 Equinox EV was just revealed as a carryover. First off, Chevy has officially said that the previously disclosed starting MSRP of $34,995 will be offered in 2025. Only the more costly 2RS and 2RS trims were offered for the 2024 model year.

To put it another way, Chevy never produced the 1LT with that low beginning price, but the American carmaker will make up for that unfulfilled pledge by releasing a new LT model in 2025. The 2025 MY’s manufacturing start date was not specified, although reports suggest it might happen as soon as August.

Updated Trim Layout

There are now only two trim levels (from five previously), but there are more available packages on those trims thanks to Chevy’s simplification of the trim structure. It’s more complex, but it’s also simpler. In addition to the $34,995 price tag, purchasers can opt to add the Comfort and Active Safety 2 Package for an additional $2,000.

The LT replaces the 1LT. What would have been known as the 2LT is replaced with an LT with Comfort and Active Safety 2 Package, Convenience I Package, and other features for $43,295. Lastly, the previous 3LT is replaced with an LT with Comfort, Active Safety 2 Package, and Convenience II Package for $46,395.

One RS trim now includes both the 2RS and 3RS. The 2RS is now just referred to as the “RS,” and it starts at $44,795. The RS with Convenience II Package, which costs $47,890, replaces the 2RS.

Greater Costs and More Features

With the exception of the highest LT and RS trims, which are marginally more expensive than the previous 3LT and 3RS, pricing is mostly the same. Chevy claims that the inclusion of a rear camera mirror and head-up display as standard equipment accounts for the $1,100 price rise.

The power numbers for the Chevy Equinox EV have also been revised. From 213 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque in the 2024 model year to 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque in the front-wheel-drive variant. Up from 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant now has 300 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque, matching the Cadillac Optiq. The range of the AWD Equinox EV is 285 miles, compared to 319 miles for the FWD model.
