Following six years and two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, focus David Andrews isn’t going anyplace.
Andrews is returning to the Patriots, NFL Network’s Kim Jones revealed. Andrews will sign a four-year deal, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo announced.
In the No. 37 spot on Gregg Rosenthal’s Top 101 free agents of 2021, the 29-year-old Andrews has been both a pillar on the Patriots offensive front and an uplifting comeback story.
Subsequent to missing the entirety of the 2019 season because of blood clots in his legs, Andrews got back to the Pats in 2020 and regardless of the group’s travails actually performed well by and large.
As the Patriots have collected features for bringing new talent in with the general mish-mash this week, Andrews’ return is one that looks good. Andrews is a long-term group commander and a storage space pioneer. Maybe that is an explanation the Dolphins had interest in him, as detailed by Garafolo. Miami is instructed by previous Pats collaborator Brian Flores, after all.
Eventually, it appears Andrews and the Pats are getting what they need and that is the return of the middle to New England.
